We want you to be happy with your Maggie while also understanding setup requires upfront ensure Maggie works effectively. We understand everyones setup is different so would like to be transparent and to provide as much information as possible before your purchase. Due to the nature of the product, we also want to ensure your device is protected when using Maggie. This guide will help you do so.

Compatibility Overview

Maggie relies on MagSafe technology, which is built into iPhones 12's and above (excluding SE and 16e). To ensure proper magnetic strength, we recommend using a compatible iPhone and, ideally, a high-quality MagSafe-compatible phone case. You can find further information for other model phones below. For Max Models or large Phones, please ensure you are using a longer stem mount to accomodate larger phones. If you’re unsure, please reach out.

Key and Important Recommendations

Use a High-Quality MagSafe-Compatible Case:
While Maggie can function without a case on compatible iPhone models, the smooth finish of most phones does not assist with grip and may find a weakend magnetic strength compared to using a high quality case. Using Maggie without a case affect performance during exerted effors. A none metal (textured) MagSafe-compatible case is recommended and not only enhances grip but also ensures a more secure hold. You will find better performance with this setup.

What model phones work?

Designed for iPhone

Maggie is primarily designed for iPhones. All models from the iPhone 12 onward (excluding iPhone SE) are equipped with built-in MagSafe magnets, which are necessary for Maggie to function. Without these magnets, your phone will not securely attach to Maggie.

For non-iPhone models, compatibility may still be achieved by using third-party MagSafe-compatible cases (details below).

What options do I have?

MagSafe Compatible Cases

MagSafe-Compatible Cases

If you use a phone case, it must be MagSafe-compatible. Non-MagSafe cases create additional distance between the phone and Maggie, reducing magnetic strength and compromising hold.

Identifying a MagSafe-Compatible Case:

- Look for a visible circular ring on the inside or outside of the case.
- If uncertain, check the manufacturer's specifications or test the case with Maggie before use.
- High-quality cases often include stronger magnets, further enhancing the hold.

My Phone is not MagSafe Compatible.

What options do I have?

Options for Non-MagSafe Phones or Older iPhones

If you have an older iPhone model (pre-iPhone 12) or a non-iPhone device, you can purchase third-party cases with built-in MagSafe-compatible magnets. These cases enable compatibility with MagSafe accessories like Maggie without the requirements of having MagSafe Magnets built into the device itself.

What Phone Cases do you Recommend?

We personally recommend and use Mous cases for our devices - they have cases for a wide range of phones along with offering great phone protection and a strong hold.
